Nigerian young people were invited to exploit the professional centers established by the government to learn digital and other abilities to be productive and useful to themselves and contribute positively to national development.
It was also recommended to use online and social media platforms to promote cultural heritage, national cohesion, peace and unity of the country, which are fundamental for the generation of national development.
The Emir of Kaura Namoda in the state of Zamfara, the Major Sanusi Muhammad Asha (RTD), gave the advice during a media event at the Emirate of Kaura Namoda.
“Young people are said to be the heart rate of progress and development of any nation due to their energy, talents, creativity and innovative ideas, therefore the request to exploit their potential for national development.
“I am advising our young people to bring innovative ideas that could help them contribute to the development of the country”. He said
Emir has further appealed to the owners of political offices and individuals of public spirit to help enhance young people so that they can become useful to society.
In his observations, the head of the state of the state of Zamfara, Alhaji Yakubu Haidara, reminded young people who are the leader of tomorrow, observing that they can be a leader in the future only when they acquire a solid education or learn skills that will prepare them for leadership positions.
Speaking also, the zonal secretary, north-west of the union of the Nigeria of journalists (Nuj), companion Abdulrazak Bello, who presented a document on the role of online media in national development, the media amounts to support ethical standards in their relationships to avoid spreading false news, promoting instead peace and peaceful units and coexistence among the Nigerians.
