Nigerian prankster and comedian, Zion Ubani, popularly known as Zfancy has been released on bail following his recent arrest for sharing disturbing jokes on social media.
After being arrested on July 4 in Abuja by the NPF-National Cyber Crime Centre for making a prank film with false allegations of serious crimes, including rape, the Nigerian Police has verified the release of the prankster.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer, provided an update on Wednesday, stating that Zfancy had been released on bail and warned “to avoid any jokes that could cause public unrest.”
Zfancy was released, according to Adejobi, to executive members of the Union of Nigerian Influencers, Skit Makers and Content Creation Practitioners.

He said his release was made possible by a delegation led by Tokoni Igoin, Special Assistant to the President for ICT Development and Digital Innovation.
Adejobi stressed that it was eventually discovered that the controversial video had a script.
He says; “The videos were later found to be scripted.
“He has been warned to avoid jokes that could cause public unrest.
“While encouraging positive creativity among the younger generation, NPF urges content creators to use social media responsibly and avoid spreading misinformation that could trigger public chaos,” Adejobi noted.
