The Governor of the State of Borno, Professor Babagana Zulum, reported the second phase of the Empowerment program started by the senator who represents Borno Central, senator Kaka Shehu Lawan.
The initiative will benefit a total of 3,092 members in the eight areas of the local government of the Senatorial District.
Total beneficiaries, 2,592 people will receive various Empowerment objects including mini hijet trucks, tricycles (Keke Napep), deep freezers, sewing and grinding machines, solar and mechanical energy water pumps, fertilizers, rice collections and other agricultural equipment. Tuesday Zulum at the flag ceremony outside the Government House Maiduguri praised Senator Lawan for his consistent efforts to improve the means of existence of his components and for his wider contribution to the development of the state of Borno.
“This is not the first time that Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan distributes Empowerment objects to his voters. His dedication to the development of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of Borno must not be too emphasized, he did very well,” Zulum observed.
Governor Zulum also highlighted the legislative work of the impact of Senator Lawan, noting that in just two years in charge, the senator sponsored significant invoices including those for the establishment of the federal university of entrepreneurship and agriculture in Bama and the federal medical center in the state of Borno.
“I want to praise him not only for his basic interventions, but also for his exceptional performance in the Senate. These contributions have no precedents in the history of our state”, added the governor Zulum, urged the senator to continue with his praised efforts, guaranteeing him of the continuous support of the government and the people of the State of Beno.
In his observations, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan has announced that every beneficiary of the Empowerment articles will also receive further cash support of โฆ 20,000. He also revealed the donation of 450 school desks to be distributed to public schools within the Senatorial District, which Will Han.
“I honestly appreciate the leadership of the Governor Zulum in the State. This marks the second phase of my initiative to enhance and encourage all the beneficiaries to make productive use of these articles. I assure you that this initiative will be supported,” said Senator Lawan.
The event also presented messages of goodwill of the main leaders of the APC including the national vice -president (north), the Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori; Member who represents the Metropolitan Federal Electoral College Maiduguri, Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis; and the president of the APC of State, Hon. Beautiful Ayuba. Everyone praised the commitment of Senator Lawan in providing the dividends of democracy to his voters.
According to them, the Empowerment initiative will significantly complete the post -war recovery efforts and reconstruction of the Governor Zulum throughout the state.
