12 Nigerian miners who were stranded back from the car

12 Nigerian miners were stranded in the Central African Republic (CAR) back to the country on Friday.

People who were again accepted at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, by Nigerian Chair/CEO at the Diaspora Commission (Nidcom), Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

Nidcom’s attention was focused on the viral video that showed how Nigerians were persecuted in the car.

Nigeria was cheated, abandoned in a foreign country, and was forced to work for 11 months without pay.

Their passports were also confiscated, leaving them stranded.

They urged the Nigerian government to intervene and save them.

Commission, after that, contacted the Nigerian embassy official in the car to see this problem.

Receiving miners, Dabiri-Eleva said the repatriation involved collaboration of several institutions, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS), the Nigerian Embassy in CAR, Nidcom, and others.

He said: “So, we will follow up with you and demand that your salary be paid. Whatever you take debt, we will take it for you.

“Meanwhile, we will work with other agencies to support you when you return home. We will also judge your skills for work placement.

“We are happy to see you and will still be related to integrating you into the system.”

He urged the Nigerians to see miners’ trials as a warning for those who were looking for greener grasslands abroad and advised them to follow the right channels to avoid such difficulties.
