14 Killed when an armed man attacked the village of Imo

Armed people have killed 14 people during attacks in the villages of Ndi -jezie, Umualaoma, and Ndiakuwata Uno, Ideato North Government Area in the IMO state.

Residents told reporters that the invaders invaded the community with several motorbikes and fired at the villagers without provocation from Thursday night to Friday morning.

The video of the victims in their blood collection was then circulating on social media.

A spokesman for the State Police Command, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident.

He, however, said seven people were killed in coordinated attacks.

Okoye described the attack as “savage, inhumane, and unacceptable.”

He said: “Police Commissioner, IMO Command, Aboki Danjuma, strongly condemned the terrible attack carried out by armed people suspected of being a member of IPOB/ESN who was prohibited.

“The unreasonable attack claimed the lives of more than seven people, and left several others seriously injured.

“As a result, the Police Commissioner leads the tactical unit to comb intensely from the affected areas and confirms that the situation is now under control.”
