He reminded troops to respect the local laws and traditions of the people of Gambia and to support the values ββthat define Nigeria as a great nation.
He said: “The Nigerian troops have carried out key roles in restoring peace and stability in the conflict areas throughout Africa and in the world. From Lebanon to Liberia, to Sierra Leone to Sudan, to the Nigerian Peacekeepers, they remained still in defense of the oppressed, vulnerables and people captured in the crossfire of the war.
“The Nigerian peace have repeatedly gained global quotes and medals for leadership, courage and professional competence. Today, Nigeria remains a pillar of international peace efforts, with our troops who perform exceptionally well in Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Abyei in South Sudan.”
Previously, the commander of the major general Ademola Ademola Adedoja said that the degree marks the completion of the pre-destribution formation (PDT) for the Nigerian contingent 10 Ecowas mission in Gambia (Ecomig).
