2025 ham exam instructions for all candidates

With the approach of the unified tertiary registration exam of 2025 (UTME), the joint council of admissions and atrimization (jam) issued significant instructions that each candidate must follow before, during and after their examination.

Understanding and following these rules can make a big difference on the day of your exam. Here is everything you need to know.

Before examination

• Print your exam slip: Applicants must print their 2025 UTME 2025 examination slip of the official mounting reprint portal once active.
• Know your center and time: Confirm your examination center address, examination date and time in advance.
• Arrive early: Candidates should be in their CBT centers at least two hours before their scheduled time.
• Prepare the valid identification: Bring a recognized identification form such as a national identity card or a voter card if necessary.
• Dress properly: Dress in simple and decent clothes. Avoid wearing suspicious or elaborate outfits that can cause suspicion.

In the CBT center

• Follow the instructions of civil servants: Listen carefully to centered officials and obey all the instructions without argument.
• Biometric verification is compulsory: No candidate will be authorized to take the exam without going through a biometric verification (fingerprint).
• No authorized electronic device: Articles like mobile phones, wristwatches, calculators (apart from the assembly calculator provided), USB discs, Bluetooth devices and smart glasses are strictly prohibited.
• Use only the computers allocated: Applicants should only sit on the computers allocated to them.
• Keep calm and concentration: Stay concentrated during your exam and avoid any form of lack.

During examination

• Read the questions carefully: Make sure you understand the questions before answering.
• Manage your time wisely: There is a time defined for each subject. Work intelligently to answer all questions over time.
• Submit correctly: After completing your exam, be sure to submit properly before leaving the computer.
• Look for help only from watchrs: If you have a technical problem, lift your hand quietly to get help. Do not contact the other candidates.

After examination

• Leave the center quietly: After the submission, the candidates must leave the examination room and leave the CBT center calmly.
• Wait for the official results: Do not fall for fraudsters who claim to upgrade the results. Jamb will officially publish the results in due time.
• Monitor the announcements of jam: Continue to check the official announcements concerning the verification of results and admission procedures.
