Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other Democratic Party (PDP) leaders on Tuesday asked party members to join the coalition formed ahead of the 2027 election.
They made a call in the communication issued at the end of the meeting in Abuja.
Others at the meeting were former Senate President, David Mark, former PDP National Chair, Uche Secondus, former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido and his colleagues in the state of Niger, Babangida Aliyu.
Also at the meeting was the former Governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu, the former Governor of the State Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal, and his Cross Rivers State partner, Liyel Imoke.
PDP leaders regretted that the party was “drowned in disturbing conditions” with the help of all progressive congress (APC).
They urged PDP and Patriotic Nigeria members who intended to be good to join the coalition.
The report appeared on Monday that the elements of the opposition behind the coalition had decided to adopt the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform in the 2027 election.
Communike reads: “The inability of PDP’s leadership to lead the party with the constitution, regulations and regulations bring it to a chaotic and undisciplined party.
“The vision of the founders founded by the party and the role he played in restoring Nigeria as a stable and united country and key players on the regional, continental, and global stage has been abolished as our role as the leader of the black race is now followed by smaller and lacking countries.
“PDP, who is organic with discipline, capacity, and history to lead and save Nigeria, is now a shadow of self.
“All coalition partners must be united in the issue of national unity, democracy, national security, national economy, and political will to eliminate corruption embedded in our institution.”
PDP leaders also noted that Nigeria had become ashamed on the global stage because of the bleak performance of the Federal government led by APC.
“With pain, Nigeria is now a reduced and embarrassing country on the world stage.
“The APC government, which appeared in false and evil propaganda to save Nigeria from PDP, is now a disaster for our nation and therefore must be chosen from power.
“All development indexes that support the comfort and quality of the lives of citizens have fainted, and life is now hell in Nigeria,” Communike added.
