2027: I will not be the vice -president of Atiku – Peter Obi

The former candidate for the presidency of the Labor Party, Peter Obi, firmly stopped that he will contest the presidency in the general elections of 2027 and not as a racing companion for anyone.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television Sunday Politics, the former governor of the State of Anambra rejected the speculations that connect him to a possible vice -presidential ticket together with the former vice -president Atiku Abubakar or any other candidate.

“Nobody has ever discussed with me if being a or B, or C. I intend to contest the president of Nigeria and I think I am qualified,” said Obi.

By addressing the recent rumors about his defection by the Labor Party, Obi has eliminated the relationships that suggest that they have downloaded the party or to engage in anti-party activities associating with the African democratic congress (ADC).

“There is nothing anti-party in the decision. We are not abandoning where we are. We are going there together. What is constant is that we decided to work together,” he explained.

Obi’s observations come among the growing political alignments in view of the 2027 elections, while various opposition parties explore possible coalitions to challenge the sentence to all progressives (APC).
