4 police officers fired over murder of trader in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the sacking of four officers over their involvement in the tragic killing of seven traders in Owode Onirin area of ​​the state.

The state Police Commissioner, Mr. Olohundare Jimoh, told journalists on Thursday at the Ikeja Police Officers Mess that investigations into the murder of Owode Onirin were ongoing.

He said the fired officers, who were brought from Nasarawa by the main suspect ‘Ariori’, were involved in the extrajudicial killings.

Jimoh assured the public of justice and cited the ballistics and autopsy reports that guided the prosecution.

“This matter is not being swept under the rug, and we want the public and all the families of the victims to know that nothing can stop us from ensuring justice is served.

“We will leave no stone unturned and will not be intimidated by anyone.

“All suspects will be tried, and the court remains open to hear every case,” said CV.

The seven people were killed in a clash between land grabbers and traders in Owode-Onirin area of ​​the state in August last year.
