BREAKING: D’Tigress advances to Olympic quarter-finals for first time

Nigerian women’s basketball team D’Tigress has qualified for the quarterfinals of the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics.

Nigeria’s women’s team reached the quarter-finals after beating Canada 79-70 in their final group game on Sunday.

Rena Wakama’s girls began their campaign with a thrilling win over Australia to break a 20-year Olympic curse.

They then faced hosts France in their second group game but lost by more than 20 points. Nigeria’s women have now bounced back against Canada and advanced.

Afrobasket giants D’Tigress made their quarter-final run even more spectacular as they defeated world number 5 Canada to remain in the women’s basketball competition.
