France defeated Germany 73-69 on Thursday to advance to the final of the ongoing men’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
France, who lost to Germany in the group stage, managed to tame their opponents in a resounding victory in front of their home fans at the Bercy Arena in Paris, France.

In the semi-final clash, Germany’s first-quarter dominance came to an end, 25-18, after falling 8-15 behind in the second quarter to tie 33-33 at half-time.
France increased its momentum in the third quarter, extending its lead to 56-50 and holding on to secure its second consecutive Olympic final.
Frenchman Guerschon Yabusele has had a strong performance for the second consecutive game. After scoring 22 points against Canada in the quarter-finals, the Real Madrid forward added 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting and 7 rebounds.
Isaia Cordinier, who put France under pressure in the first quarter with 11 points, finished the game with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Victor Wembanyama, meanwhile, had 11 points on 4 of 17 inefficient shots, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks.
Dennis Schroder was the only player on the German roster with double-digit scoring totals over 39 minutes, racking up 17 points on just 6-of-17 shooting (3/7 2PT, 3/10 3PT).
Franz Wagner scored 7 points in the first quarter, but failed to score a single point in the next nearly three quarters, scoring his first points since the first quarter with only 38 left on the clock. He finished the game with 10 points and 8 rebounds.
