Nigeria international Anayo Iwuala continued his remarkable form, scoring his fifth consecutive goal to help Al Arabi secure a 2-1 win over Al Qadsia in the Kuwait Premier League.
This crucial victory keeps Al Arabi at the top of the league table with an impeccable record, having collected nine points from their first three matches.
Iwuala, who joined Al Arabi from Tunisian powerhouse Esperance, has quickly become a key figure for his new side.
The former Enyimba winger opened the scoring just after the hour mark against Al Qadsia, scoring his third goal in two games this season and extending his impressive scoring run.
His fine run of form began in the opening game of the season against Kazma, where he scored a goal to start Al Arabi’s campaign on a positive note.
He then scored another crucial goal in a thrilling 3-2 win over Al-Tadamon in the second week of the season.
Iwuala’s current performances are a continuation of the momentum he built last season, where he scored key goals against Al-Jahra and Al-Nasr.
