Club Brugge manager Nicky Hayen has said that Raphael Onyedika will remain with the club until the transfer is officially confirmed.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the club had reached an agreement with an unnamed team for the transfer of the 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder.

Despite the reported deal, there has been little progress since and Onyedika continues to play for Club Brugge.

This uncertainty has created tension as the player remains in Westkapelle for now.

“Of course, in the last few days a lot of things have started to move or there have been last-minute offers for players. This is causing nervousness everywhere,” Hayen explained in an interview with Het Nieuwsblad.

“But we’ve already done our homework, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens too.”

Onyedika still has three years left on his contract with the club.
