Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike on Saturday warned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors against interfering in the Rivers State political crisis.
PDP governors during a meeting in Taraba State on August 23 reiterated their support to their Rivers State counterpart, Siminalayi Fubara, over the crisis in the oil-rich state.
They also vowed to work towards reinstating Fubara as PDP leader in the state.
The governor fell out with Wike, his predecessor, over control of party structures and other reasons in September last year.
The two former allies are no longer on the same page despite efforts by President Bola Tinubu and other stakeholders to broker peace and restore normalcy in the state.
Wike, who spoke during the PDP state congress held at the party secretariat in Port Harcourt, vowed that he would not allow anyone to take over the party structure in Rivers State.

He warned governors to stay out of party affairs in Rivers.
He threatened to cause a political crisis in their state if any PDP governor tried to interfere in the party’s affairs in Rivers.
Wike said: “I assure you all, no one will take over the PDP structure from us as long as we live. However, I want to tell people, I heard some governors saying they will take over the structure and give it back to someone.
“I pity those governors because I will burn their states. When God has given you peace, you say you don’t want peace β whatever you see you take.
“Because I heard they got some money from the signing bonus, so they got big-headed because you are going to help my own country. Be prepared because I also have the capacity to do the same thing in your own country.
βWhether you are from Bauchi or not, I donβt care, whatever state you are from, as far as I am concerned, if you try to place yourself in Rivers State, your hands will be burned, and you will never be able to sleep in your state.β
