Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday warned against any attempt to rig next week’s governorship election in Edo State.
Atiku, who spoke at the culmination of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign in Ekemwan area of the state, argued that Edo is not Lagos State where he said the election could be rigged by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He urged people to protect their votes in the September 21 general election.
He said: “If you remember four years ago they threatened us, didn’t they? They said they wouldn’t let us win in Edo State.

“So this time again, we will show them that Edo is not Lagos. They cannot steal votes here, therefore, protect, defend and guard your votes.
“Make sure your votes are in, make sure your results are announced, then no Jupiter will come and change your votes.
“You win next week, do you agree? ‘Edo no be Lagos,'” the former Vice President said in the parking lot.
