Genesis & Silverbird Ink Historic Deal for AY’s New Movie, The Waiter

Lagos, Nigeria – September 3, 2024 – In a historic collaboration that is set to redefine the Nigerian film industry, Genesis Pictures and Silverbird Distribution, two of the country’s leading film distribution companies, have entered into a co-distribution agreement for The Waiter, the latest movie from celebrated comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY.

This agreement marks the first-ever collaborative distribution effort between two major industry giants in Nigeria, setting a new standard for the future of film distribution.

Created by Corporate World Entertainment, The Waiter is a fast-paced action-comedy that combines thrilling entertainment with a sharp commentary on the state of Nigeria. It delves into the challenges faced by the country’s aggrieved youth and points to the hope for a better future through unswerving love for the country.
