The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 13 suspected internet fraudsters in Sokoto State.
EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
He said the suspects were arrested on Saturday in the Gidan Yaro and Dandima areas of the state after intelligence information indicated the involvement of the suspects in internet-related offences.

The spokesperson said: “The 13 suspects claimed to be students of Usmanu Danfodio University in Sokoto. Once the investigation is complete, they will face charges in court.
“The recent crackdown is part of the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud across Nigeria.”
