The national team of children under 17, former Golden Eaglet coach John Obuh has presented suggestions on how the Nigerian cadet team can be revived and then qualified for the next edition of the African championship.
Speaking in the context of the absence of Eaglets in the current Africa U17 Cup of Nations in MoroccoWhich means that the five times champions will miss the FIFA World Cup U17 for the second consecutive edition, Obuh advocated a better exploration structure and an early appointment of a coach for the cadet team.

Sports247 also informs that John Obuh, who won money with the Eaglets as hosts of the world cadet in 2009, then handled the flying eagles in the FIFA World Cup U20 two years later in Colombia, also requested long -term planning and added that all the hands must be on deck to revive the squad of the adolescents.
Obuh reasoned: “The coaches and any other person must have to do more. Everyone must enter and leave, search for talented young players. We must start now, because U-17 is not something that can open the camp today and go to compete tomorrow.”
The soft voice tactic, which is now president of Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia in the Nigeria Professional Soccer League (NPFL), admitted that not being present at the U17 AFCon this year is another great setback for the Nigeria youth soccer sector and pointed out that there is a need for corrective measures to begin immediately.
“At this time, we should have known the structure of our next U-17 team, making sure to have an excellent exploration scheme. We should also know that the coach in charge must be announced early.
“You need to take your time to build the team because, it doesn’t matter how good a coach is good, if you don’t start time to select your players and look at them repeatedly, it can be difficult to get a good team and so that we bloom again,” Obuh warned.
