The possibilities of President Bola Tinubu and the Governor Bassey Otu who surf until 2031 were enhanced with their approval by the extended Caucus of WHO-IS-WHO in the ALL PROGRESSives Congress (APC) in the Cross River State.
The Stalwarts party, which included all the members of the National and State Assemblies, the ministers, the members of the state executive committee, the appointed politicians throughout the Council, the elderly, the women and the young leaders, who gathered in Calabar, Tuesday evening, unanimously approved a vote of trust and approved President Tinubu, the Governor Otu and the Governor RT. Hon. Peter Odey.
The speakers on the occasion praised the agenda of the leadership and economic reforms of President Tinubu at national level and also described the governance of the governor Otu as transformative.
With a surprise move, the Asuquo Ekpenyong senator, representing the Senatorial District of Cross River South, who was said to be the greatest albatro of the Governor Otu for the plum work in 2027, moved the motion to offer the Governor’s second term.
Sen Ekpenyong has mentioned “significant progress in infrastructure, health care, education and economic development” and has underlined the importance of continuity to consolidate the earnings obtained so far by the administration led by the governor Otu.
“The success of this administration is evident in all sectors,” said Senator Ekpenyong, adding “it is right that we, as a party, demonstrate our support for continuity by supporting the governor Otu and Rt. Hon. Peter Odey for a second term”.
In a press release made available to the project at the beginning of Wednesday, the party leaders expressed gratitude to the President for the approval and start of the Lagos-Calabar coastal motorway and the special project of the agro-elaboration of Cross River.
They described projects as “transformation efforts within the renewed agenda of hope that would have a positive impact on the generations to come”.
However, they asked for the immediate formation of a high -power delegation of eminent croppereds, led by the governor Otu and his deputy, to involve President Tinubu for the perceived marginalization of the state in federal appointments and in the infrastructure considerations.
