North to immediately decide who will be supported in 2027, Baba-Ahmed stated

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, a former special advisor on political issues to the President of the Tinubu Bola, has announced that the northern region of Nigeria will soon determine his political direction in preparation for the 2027 general election.

This announcement is in line with the established reputation of Baba-Ahmed as a strong advocate for the northern interest. He recently resigned from his position as a special advisor for President Tinubu to continue advocacy for the region.

In a video interview that was widely circulated on social media on Sunday, showing it with Professor Usman Yusuf, former executive secretary of the National Health Insurance scheme, Baba-Ahmed stressed that no politicians could secure the president without northern support.

He indicated that the North would strengthen his political attitude in the next six months, and other countries will be in harmony or chasing separate courses.

Baba-Ahmed emphasized historical difficulties in the region, especially during the Boko Haram rebellion, which affected all northern demographics. “We want the government to understand our problems and be able to overcome them,” he said, urged the northern to fight the political tactics that divided and cheating that led to the upcoming elections.

He also warned of further marginalization from the north, a warning of potential impacts. “If they plan to steal the election, they must be careful. It won’t be good for Nigeria,” he said.

Baba-Ahmed emphasized that the North monitored the political landscape, and that the leaders of the community, the general public, and interest groups would immediately voic their dissatisfaction with injustice and exception. “Injustice and endorsement must stop,” he said.

He highlighted the significant impact of the northern decision on the 2027 election. “There is no politician who can become president without northern support, making the attitude of the area important for the success of candidates,” he said.

He concluded with a warning to the manipulation of elections and marginalization, emphasizing the importance of fair elections for national stability and progress. “The support of the northern region is very important in determining the results of the 2027 elections,” he said.
