I was not aware of the fraudulent relationships of Hushpupi – Davido

The famous music star Davido spoke of his relationship with Ramon Abbas, the Nigerian socialite and a condemned scammer better known as Hushpuppi.

Davido declared that while he and Hushpuppi were friends, he was not aware of his involvement in fraudulent activities.

In a recent interview with Podcast, shared on X Monday, the singer expressed support for Hushpupi, who is currently serving a prison sentence in the United States and has said safely that he would be released soon.

Davido meant that the difficult living conditions in Nigeria could push people to engage in illegal activities as a way to survive and escape poverty.

He said: “Hushpuppi will come out soon. He lived his life. For me, it is not worth being locked. But let me don’t apologize for them [fraudsters]. Some people are happy to dance for five years and that’s all.

“In Nigeria, there is a kind of difficulty you should face and you will be as, you know what? Leave me dancing for two years, then I’m good.

“People are like that. My prayers go to him [Hushpuppi]. He was my friend. I only see him around, I never really knew what he was doing. But he lived a good life. “
