Oluwaseun Chiazor, a talented Secondary School Third Year (JS3) student of Antioch Royal College, Ikotun, Lagos, has excelled in a series of activities organized to commemorate Teachers’ Day at the school.
Sports247 was present live in the school hall as the students took charge of the day’s schedule of events and had all their teachers sit as guests to watch the entertaining performances that included riddles, jokes, teasers, moral talks, imitations and recitations.
The standout talent of the day, with his willing and highly creative participation in most of the day’s activities, turned out to be Chiazor, whose mother is originally from the southwest and his father is from the southeast, giving the boy a combination of ideas that made him stand out.
The dark-skinned boy, who said he usually plays football in the street near his house as well as during recess at school, told several jokes in a fluid performance with Ezekiel Agbeniso of SS1 and Oluwafiirefunmi Bello of SS2, with their rhyme-based presentation.
Chiazor then joined some of the students to shed more light on the school’s moral theme for the week, which turned out to be “Good Behavior,” and representatives from each class explained it concisely so that their colleagues would better understand it.
One of the teachers told Sports247 after the day’s events: “Seun, Fiire and Ezekiel are among our brightest students at this school. They are good academically and also excel in sports.
“For example, every Tuesday we do aerobics in the morning after assembly and soccer in the afternoon before closing. All the girls also participate and we also encourage them to practice athletics.”
The day ended on an even happier note when one of the special guests presented a cash gift to Chiazor, Agbeniso and Bello as a reward for their creative use of linking words during their prank session in the course of activities organized by the school management.
