The federal government has been assigned about the need for re -working on Nigerian security and security infrastructure in an effort to stop murder without mind, kidnapping and other crimes that spread throughout the country.
Aare Ona Kakanfo from Yoruba Land, Iba Gani Adams made this call on Wednesday while delivering the main speech at the Grand Final Festival Eledumare 2025 in Lagos.
Speaking with specific references about the problem of insecurity and the humanitarian crisis faced by the nation in Ondo, the highlands and Benue, which has been turned into a murder field in recent weeks, Adams said the savage murder directly eliminates the virtues of peace and love, which should unite the community.
He reiterated the need for decentralization of the State Police Structure by establishing a state and local police to end a series of unsafe nationally.
In addition, he noted that no nation developed as a result of one part that rose against another attack in an attack that was meaningless.
Adams condemned the endless activities of armed herds suspected of being behind the murder and kidnapping in the three states referred, north central region and other parts of the country.
He stressed that the revival of the murder of violence also brought back to the burner in front of the problem of restructuring the Nigerian government who would give birth to the state police state and local.
“We cannot because of the political benefits of the federal government, continue to ignore what will be very beneficial for all countries.
“The problem of insecurity is very helpful in influencing food safety, given the important role of benue, highlands and Ondo in the country’s food production cycle. This crisis also provides a sense of instability and prevents foreign investors.
“The government at the center cannot continue to close your eyes to the demands needed. The time to act now. We must act decisively in the interests of our people,” he said.
Speaking of the 21-day Eledumare Festival Essence, which ended yesterday in the middle of the celebration and displaying performances by musician Fuji, Saheed Osupa, Iba Adams said that to celebrate God Almighty and also show a rich aspect of the culture and traditions of the people of Joruba.
“The essence of this festival is to praise God for its beauty and for what He has done in our lives.
“The most important thing, through events held during the festival, we can also promote culture and tradition, and promote tourism and trade in the host community, while also ensuring lasting peace in our society.
“We also have our day with widows, and visit schools for blind houses and without mothers as part of our humanitarian outreach,” he said.

Adams observed that the relative peace enjoyed in the southwest region was not connected with more than 20 cultural festivals celebrated in different communities and the annual Eledumare Festival organized by the Orolokun Festival Foundation.
He noted that the impact of the festival in the spiritual domain in helping to protect peace and calm in southwest region could not be contested.
“This underlines the need to always respect and preserve our culture and traditions,” Adams added.
The Oolokun Festival Foundation (OFF) has promoted the Eledumare Festival for 13 years.
This year’s festival features prayers for the Almighty God, harvesting praise, sports such as boxing competitions, soccer tournaments, beach soccer, taekwando competitions, table tennis competitions, drafts, ludo, ayo olopon, and fashion demonstrations.
He revealed that off also intended to promote the Yoruba cultural festival at the international level, with an ongoing plan to hold a festival in Brazil around May. This will be followed by each senegal and gambia.
High officials who adorn the Grand Finale Festival including Onifako Kingdom Ifako, Oba Taofeek Fatusi, Obawole 1, Alakute of Akute Land, Oba Akindele Aliu; And onimarapa from Marapaland, Oba Adewale Amodemaja, among others. There are also performances by various traditional and cultural groups.
