KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, Oyo State, has unveiled its 10th anniversary logo as the institution commences activities to commemorate a decade of academic development, innovation and service.

PLATFORM TIMES reports that the anniversary celebration will be held alongside the university’s sixth convocation ceremony, with former president Olusegun Obasanjo expected to deliver the convocation lecture.

The inauguration ceremony, which formally set the tone for the anniversary programme, was led by the university’s vice-chancellor, Prof. Olajumoke Morenikeji, together with the Registrar, Mr. Haruna Olawale Adetu, and the Bursar, Dr. Michael Alatise.

The institution, founded in 2016, said the anniversary logo represents its journey over the past decade and its commitment to quality education, innovation, leadership, character development and service to society.

Speaking during the inauguration, Morenikeji said the university is determined to build on the achievements made in its first 10 years, positioning the institution for greater achievements in the years to come.

The 10th anniversary and sixth convocation are expected to attract members of the university community, parents, alumni, government officials, academics and other stakeholders.

One of the main attractions of the program is the expected participation of Obasanjo, who will deliver the sixth convocation conference.

His participation is expected to provide members of the university community and other participants with the opportunity to engage with his perspectives on education, leadership, national development and the future of Nigeria.

The university said the anniversary will go beyond a celebration of its 10 years of existence, describing it as an opportunity to reflect on its institutional journey and achievements as it prepares for the next phase of its development.

It also recognized the contribution of its founders, successive university administrations, academic and non-academic staff, students, alumni and other stakeholders in the growth of the institution.

The anniversary programme, according to the university, is expected to provide a platform to celebrate past milestones while setting new priorities for the next decade.
