The bandits kidnap the Catholic priest in Kaduna

A Catholic priest, Rev. P. Ibrahim Amos, was kidnapped by Kurmin Risga bandits, the area of ​​the local government of Kauru in the state of Kaduna.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday 24 April 2025, around 12:15.

The priest was brought by his residence in the parish of St. Gerald almost, Kurmin Risga.

The Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Rev. P. Jacob Shanet, confirmed the kidnapping Thursday in a press statement.

He described development as deeply sadent.

He asked for prayers for the sure return of the cleric.

“We sollize your prayers for its quick and safe release,” Shanet said.

“We invite the general public to remain calm and avoid taking the law in its own hands,” he added, underlining that every legitimate and available means would be deployed to ensure that the cleric returns unincrovert and in good health.

The efforts to reach the head of the public relations of the Kaduna State Police, DSP Mansir Hassan, were not successful as he did not respond to calls at the time of presenting this report.
