The Chairperson of the Supervisory Board (BOT), the Democratic People’s Party (PDP), Senator Adolphus Wabara, had predicted that the party would come out of his current crisis and last laugh.
He talked about the heel of restrictions that had seen the key members to throw it away for all the progressive decisions of the congress (APC) including his vice presidential candidate in 2023, the Senator Ifeeni Okowa, the Governor of the State of Delta, Sheriff Oborevwori, and a number of PDP chiefs in the state.
The former Senate President who spoke with reporters on Saturday in Aba, the state of Abia, about the ongoing defector in the opposition party, said there was no reason to worry because the blessing was actually a blessing that was disguised because APC would soon explode while buyers would not spend the wealth of PDP in 2027.
He added that although PDP would definitely lose the dekampi, however, described the development as “hidden blessings”.
“APC will soon explode as a result of the defeat of PDP members, coming to displace loyal APC Setia who has worked to build their party,” said Wabara.
“PDP will laugh last because soon, there will be an explosion at APC. People who join APC will soon want to displace party members who have built APC for years. APC members who are displaced will look for where to go, and they will only come to PDP.”
Wabara stated that the defense of the Head of the PDP High Profile did not come to him as a surprise like “Dekampmen in politics, not an unusual thing.”

“It is expected, and I think we have to expect more. But there is nothing to worry about. That is politics. We have long expected such a defender and we know the reason: some do it for the second term, and some for protection.
“Apart from this defector, the 2027 poll will not be a smooth voyage for APC which is contrary to false hopes by his leadership.
“Nigerians who have experienced pain and economic difficulties as a result of APC’s bad policies and maladministration will use their voices wisely, protect their voices and ensure that they count.
“This is a leadership movement and not followers. Even at that time, I had it with good authority that not all leaders moved to APC. During the full time, Nigeria will decide. Nigeria will decide the 2027 presidential election, not a party.
“Nobody stopped anyone who wanted to leave the PDP. We know their reason. They are bothering to the protection and second term. But those who will still support the ongoing original effort to rebuild the PDP into the winning troops before 2027.
“People who defected knew that in 2027, the results of the election might not reflect the true will of the people. They might be afraid that the results of the election could be compromised but Nigeria would not let the robbery of such a broad day again.
“The idea of writing an election body and announced any results and asking the disadvantaged party to go to court will not work anymore. Nigeria will strongly reject something that is not democratic because this country must be made to work for the good of all.
“The fear of the decampees is that APC might want to give one or two countries to the opposition to create the impression that the election is democratic. But the bitter truth is that the 2027 election will be among APC and Nigeria who are determined to save their country from political piracy,” he said.
