Kano’s Judicial Commission suspects the court registrant, warning the judge for violations

The Kano State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has suspended two court registrants due to violations.

The commission also warned two sharia court judges for the same violation.

JSC spokesman, Mr. Baba Jibo-Ibrahim, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Kano.

He said the decision was part of the resolution achieved at the 80th JSC meeting held on April 22.

The spokesperson registered the people who were deferred as Ibrahim Adamu, the Main Registrar II of the Kano High Court, and the opponent Maigida, the main registrants of the Sharia appeal court.

The others issued by the warning were sharia court judges for alkali Mansur Ibrahim and Nasiru Ahmad.

Jibo-Ibrahim said that Adamu, a Main Registrant II from the Kano High Court, was deferred without payment for six months.

The statement reads: “The promotion was suspended after the findings that confirmed he verbally attacked and tried to use physical strength against his superiors, who were serious violations that violated the provisions of the 2004 State Civil Service Regulations and JSC regulations.

“This is the second time that you have emerged before the investigation committee for actions related to violence at work, and he has issued a series of questions.

“The commission found that your actions really did not take into account their offices and imposed the right disciplined sanctions.”

Laidan, a main registrant of the Kano State Sharia Court, was suspended without paying for six months, immediately, after he was found guilty for demanding and receiving satisfaction for false reasons.

“The commission adopts JPCC recommendations, and opponents are revealed by one class level (from GL-13 to GL-12),” the statement added.
