Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar reacts to advice from a former spokesman for his presidential campaign organization, Daniel Bwala, for his president’s ambition.
Bwala, a special advisor to policy communication to the President, in a program on Television Continental (TVC) on Monday appealed to Atiku to reconsider the long -standing president’s ambitions, showing that the path to Nigeria’s highest political office might not be part of his destiny.
He encouraged the People’s Democratic Party Candidate (PDP) in the 2023 election to accept the reality of Nigeria’s political landscape and consider supporting the government of the Tinubu Bola President in the spirit of national unity and the development of heritage.
However, in a statement issued on Tuesday, his aide, Paul Ibe, a former vice president, said he would not seek or need endorsement from political opportunists who left the principles as easily as they changed the party.
The statement reads: “The pontificating is sacred, filled with bitterness and ownership, betraying efforts to despair to make assistance with a government that is clearly shaken by the momentum of the unstoppable national coalition that is grazed by Atiku and other progressive leaders.

“Let it be clearly stated: Atiku Abubakar does not seek or require validation from political opportunists who release the principles as easily as they change the party. Relevance is now, if there is, debt entirely on the platform he has once lived under the leadership of Atiku – a fact that should breed humility, not gap.
Tinubu camp with the future of Atiku’s politics is not a coincidence. If, as they claimed, Atiku was the strength spent, why did the Apusan campaign endlessly? Why is the strategic allocation of the President’s platform to attack him? The answer is clear: Atiku Abubakar remains a very strong opposition figure in Nigeria, and the coalition he occupies.
“This broad-based alliance, which aims to re-claim Nigeria from economic collapse, institutional failure, and democratic erosion, clearly shake the ruling elite. There is no number of revisionism or historical purity that can obscure the fact that Atiku has become a central pillar in the Nigerian Democratic journey since 1999, fighting for reforms, restructuring, and general elections that can obscure the fact that Atiku has become a central pillar in the Nigerian Democratic journey since 1999, fighting for reforms, restructuring, and general elections that can obscure the fact that Atiku has become a central pillar in the Nigerian Democratic journey since 1999, fighting for reforms, restructuring, and general elections.
“We reiterate, firmly, that Waziri Adamawa remains focused and is not shaken in his commitment to the future of Nigeria. He will not be disturbed by Jester Politics disguised as Patriot.
“Rescue and rebuilding of Nigeria is a very important task nationally – too important to be thwarted by the small ego of the presidential aides who are desperate.”
