Flying Eagles advanced to the quarter-finals in the Afcon U-20

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria has met the requirements for the quarter-finals of 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after a 2-2 draw with Kenya in their last group B match on Wednesday night.

The Young Eagles began their campaign with a victory over Tunisia before being held to be withdrawn by Morocco.

KPAROBO striker Arierthi and captain Daniel Bameyi are goalscorers for Flying Eagles, who finished second in the group with five points.

Kenya went to the match behind two defeats, but led a surprise in the sixth minute after Kevin Injehu scored from the penalty point.

But in the 13th minute Arieri equalized for the flying eagle.

In the 68th minute Kenya won 2-1 ahead when William Gitama stabbed the house set on the far pole, but in 72 minutes Bameyi equalized from the penalty.

Morocco took the top of the group with seven points after defeating fellow North African Tunisians 3-1 in other Group matches on Wednesday.

Tunisia with three points, now must wait and hope they will be one of the third teams in third place.
