CSO, media in charge of creative strategies oriented towards results to combat corruption

The Phase II program, financed by the European Union (EU) (EU) and implemented by the Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International Idea), financed by the International Institute (International Idea), urged media and civil society organizations (CSO) to seek creative and oriented ways to combat corruption.

The coordinator of the State of Anambra, the Rolac 11 program, Dr. Josephine Onah, made the call to Awka, while spoken to the Roundtable awareness of civil society and the media on the implementation of the anti-corruption strategy of the state of Anambra (ANSACS 2024-2028).

Onah, who praised the efforts of civil society and the responsibility of the media and the anti -corruption initiative (CSMAAI) in the fight against corruption in the state of anmber, described them as a platform and a formidable network to mitigate corruption through continuous and sustainable actions.

According to her, this could be possible through collaboration, brainstorming, creative ideas and sustainable commitments with the government, the parties concerned and other relevant other ones who fight against corruption should not be targeted for witch hunting or the attack on anyone.

Also speaking, the consultant, the Rolac 11 program, Professor Ada Chidi-Rybokwe, expressed the trust that with a continuous collaboration between the media and the CSO, the corruption would be clear to the bud in the country.

“It is only with the collaborations of the media and the CSO that the government could be held responsible. A continuous commitment and public lighting campaigns is necessary to build a state of anmber without corrupt and Nigeria in general,” he added.

The head of the team, Csmaai, Ugochi Freeman previously listed some results made so far by the Net to include awareness campaigns between communities, schools and the NYSC fields and has urged various groups of the group to work in units to ensure that the program is successful.

The workshop participated in CSO and partner of the Ansacs media, ended with a successful review of the Ansacs 2024-2028 action plan to identify the key actions and outline effective strategies to implement activities throughout the State
