Bayelsa will present the installation of ultra modern table tennis, appoint a strong squad for Gateway 2024 games

The installation, known as “The Fortress”, will be inaugurated by Governor Senator Doye I went on Wednesday, May 14 in Yenagoa.

In a statement from the Table Tennis Association of Bayelsa (Bystta), the opening of the fortress aligns with the growing prominence of table tennis in the South-South region.

This modern installation is part of the state government’s efforts to provide world -class comforts so that athletes protrude in the main national tournaments.

Under the Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade Stow leadership, the Bystta will also reveal its technical team and the players representing the Bayelsa tennis event on the table at the 22nd National Sports Festival, known as the 2024 Gateway Gateway Games.

“This event promises to be a historical occasion in the history of table tennis in the state of Bayelsa, which marks a significant milestone in the development of sport.

The implementation of the fortress underlines the association’s commitment to provide world -class facilities for athletes and enthusiasts equally, ”reads the statement.

In addition, the presentation of the Bayelsa State Table Tennis team, led by its foreign coach Luciano Esposito, indicates a new era of excellence and competitiveness in sport. The team is ready to cause a strong impression at the National Sports Festival in the state of Ogun.

The general director of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, will be the special guest, while the State Commissioner for Sports Development, Daniel Igali, will serve as the main host.
