Chelsea number 9 has been a curse for many

The former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit warned Chelsea striker, Liam Deap, who prepares for the great challenge that comes with the setting of number nine.

“He has a really brilliant future, and I respect him, but going from Ipswich to Chelsea is huge in terms of expectation and pressure.

“That number nine position in Chelsea has been a curse for so many players. Chelsea needs a striker who will score 25 goals per season. Delap will give you that? I’m not so sure.”
