Ipob accused Gowon lying in the Nigerian civil war

The native of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the former Head of State, General Jacobu Gowon (RETD), for the new comment about the Nigerian Civil War.

The former head of the new state -new clarification that he did not endorse the Nigerian/Biafran civil war because he hated IGBO people but because of the desire to maintain Nigeria as a nation.

Gowon, who was the leader of Nigeria during the war which lasted from 1967 to 1970 during the Christian alliance convention in the Abuja Diocese, which was held at the Anglican Church of St. Matthew, Maitama, Abuja, on Saturday, said the civil war was never driven by hatred, but by the difficult needs to preserve Unity.

But when reacting to comments by former heads of state, agitator Biafra described them not only “provocative, insensitive, and shameless.”

In a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary of the IPOB Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, the group said Gowon only shed tears of crocodiles when trying to “Wipy the cruelty of the Biafran genocide which he designed.”

The group insisted that Gowon’s claim not only distorted history, but was also an intentional insult of millions of Biafrans who were slaughtered under his command and insult to all victims of the Genocide campaign that were planned previously.

“To compare the civil war with the search for unity is spitting on our ancestral graves and mocking the suffering of the survivors. The legacy of Gowon is not one of the unity but unmatched brutality, the second after the massacre of Adolf Hitler against 6 million Jews,” the statement said.

“It claims that the Nigerian civil war is fought for ‘unity, not hatred’ not only strange historical distortions but also intentional insults to millions of Biafrans who were slaughtered under his command and insult to all victims of his planned genosid campaign.

“Tears of Gowon’s crocodile for violence in Jos and his empty lament on Nigeria’s division could not erase blood stains in his hand.

“His words are painful reminders about the arrogance that is not repenting from a man who led the massacre of more than five million biafrans-man, women, and children-the only crime seeking self-determination in the face of systemic marginalization and pogrom sponsored by the state.

“The Questions Gowon Must Answer Include: What happened at Aburi? Why did he Renege on the Agreements Reached with Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, which could have averted the war? Why did he repeatedly seek guidance guidance from a certificate of diplomat diplomat. Betraying Nigeria’s Sovereignty to Neo-Colonial Interests?

“Why did he perpetuate the falsehood that the January 1966 coup was a ‘IGBO plot’ when evidence clearly showed that it was a military action by officers from all Nigeria?

“Why does he refuse to return Nigeria to regionalism, a system that encourages economic growth that has never happened before, for the sake of the structure of unity designed to exploit BIFRA’s oil and gas resources?

“What happened during the visit of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello to Sandhurst, where he spoke to the cadet Nigeria in Hausa, sowing the seeds of the division?

“As a Christian who was born yourself who was proclaimed by yourself, ‘Why do you refuse to publish your account about the Aburi event? What truth do you fear to reveal to your children and grandchildren?

“Gowon’s periodic speech is not a call for healing, but intentional provocation that reopens old wounds.

“His rejection to recognize the truth about the genocide of Biafran – outgoing policy, mass execution, and air bombing of civilian populations – showed lack of regret. Unity cannot be forced by forced, nor can it develop in vision such as Nigeria, an artificial creation designed by the colonial master for colonial vision for the vision of nigation, For colonial master for Nigerian vision.

“Various cultures and views of the world of Nigerians cannot be reconciled under forced unity that prioritize the interests of some above the aspirations of many people.

“To Gowon and the like, we say: Your generation fails to build a meaningful foundation or coexistence. Your actions are sowing the seeds that are connected by Nigeria today. Takes us holy rhetoric about unity. The blood of 5 million Biafrans shouted for justice, and there were not a number of media postures.

“If you are looking for a peaceful coexistence, let your actions – not empty words – give. Start by telling the world how you sleep at night after watching one of the worst cruelty of history.

“We ask all Biafrans, both at home and in the diaspora, to reject the revisionist narrative of Gowon and unite in our search for freedom. Nigeria unity is a myth, supported by coercion and exploitation. The time for truth, justice, and liberation is now.”
