Lagos stopped the approval of planning along the coastal road

The Lagos state government has ordered immediate suspension of all planning agreements along the Lagos-Calabar coastal corridor, quoting the need to re-harmonize the ongoing development plan with the impact of the federal infrastructure project.

This decision was announced in a statement on Monday by the Commissioner of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, in Alausa, Ikeja.

“As a result of the effects of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road on our development plan, it is a green to review the situation on land and harmonize it with a development plan to prevent further distortion now or in the closest time,” he said.

“In this connection, it is as important to suspend planning approval for a while on the axis until further notification,” added the Commissioner.
