This scheme is designed to increase trade with developing countries to support their development.
It cuts the tariff, eliminates conditions and simplifies trade rules for 65 developing countries, including Nigeria.
DCT was introduced by the British government in 2023 to replace the General Preference Scheme (GSP).
DCT is a simpler and generous preferential trade scheme that has been designed to increase trade with developing countries to support their development.
