The Independent National Election Commission (Inec) will continue to registration of Sustainable Voters (CVR) nationally on August 18.
Chairperson Inec, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, revealed this at the commission quarterly meeting with political parties on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the commission would continue the CVR in the State of Anambra on July 17.
Jacobu added that because of the November 8th Governor election in the State of Anambra, training will be held at two levels.
He said the exercise would begin in 326 wards throughout the state on July 8 and ended on July 17, including the weekend.
“During the registration period, new voters and those who want to transfer their registration to Anambra from other countries in the federation or one location to another country in the state will have the opportunity to do so.
“Likewise, registered voters who are permanent voters (PVC) are lost or damaged will have the opportunity to submit a request for replacement.
“PVCs that are not collected from previous registrations will also be available for collection at the registration center.
“Nigerian citizens who meet the requirements are encouraged to perform directly to register, ” said Chairman Inec.
He, however, explained that the current online registration option is not available.
Yakubu added that voter registration and compilation of the voter list must be completed at least 90 days before the date determined for the election as determined by the law.
“` For the National CVR, the Commission has agreed to re -registration of online voter registration and directly in all states of the federation.
“Pre-online registration will begin on August 18, while direct registration will be followed on August 25.
“This exercise will be held simultaneously in all states and FCTs and 774 Regional Government Regional Offices nationally,” he concluded.
