The champion of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich, won a 4-2 victory over Flamengo in the 16 round in the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup on Sunday.
The victory means the Progress of Bayern to the quarterfinals, where they will face the headlines of the Paris Saint-Germain Champions League.
The Parisiens did a light job of Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, registering a comfortable 4-0 victory.
The game began dramatically with a goal of Erick Pulgar de Flamengo in the sixth minute. Only three minutes later, Harry Kane doubled the advantage with a long -range deviant strike, marking its 40th goal of the season.
Flamengo responded in minute 33 through Gerson, who capitalized a defensive period to reduce the deficit. However, Bayern restored its two -goal advantage before part -time thanks to the powerful shot of Leon Goretzka in the 41st minute.
In the second half, Flamengo pressed to return, with Jorginho turning a penalty in the 55th minute after a handball by Michael Olise de Bayern.
Despite their efforts, defensive errors were expensive for the Brazilian side. Kane sealed Bayern’s victory in the 73rd minute when he scored his second goal after another Flamengo error.
Meanwhile, the quarterfinal draw between Bayern Munich and PSG is scheduled for Saturday, July 5.
When both teams gathered in the 2020 Champions League final, a goal from the second half of Kingsley Coman won a 1-0 victory for Bayern.
