Political activists and co-Conversing of the #Bringbackourgirls movement, Aisha Yesufu, have warned the coalition of opposition politicians that were recently formed about the dangers in enabling older generations to make decisions in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Yesufu, who expressed concern in a post in his X -rank on Wednesday night after the inaugural meeting of the coalition in Abuja, demanded group leaders to combine women and youth in making ADC decisions.
The activist encourages female and youth leaders in the coalition to be allowed to be part of decision making.
Sharing photos he took with several political leaders in the inauguration, Yesufu wrote:
“Dear Coalition (ADC)
“The position of female leaders and youth leaders cannot be what is intended for women and youth.
“You see this table is full of older generation men, cannot be the only one allowed to make decisions as we continue! Women and adolescents must be in the midst of decision making and not like reflections in the form of Tokenisism
“Dear women and teenagers
This is the time for the numbers that you must hear hard and clearly.
JOIN!!!
“Be part of leadership!
Be part of the delegates
Be part of the floor members.
Overwhelmed forever!
Carry ideas from outside the box. “
