Former SGF Babachir Lawal resigned from APC

A former Federation Government Secretary (SGF), Babachir David Lawal, on Monday, officially announced his resignation from the decision of all the progressive congress (APC).

Therefore, this development ended the affiliation of former SGF with the party.

Lawal, who served as SGF under the former President of Muhammadu Buhari, made an announcement in a letter addressed to the Chairperson of APC in Bangshika Ward, the regional government in the state of Adamawa.

The letter, which he signed personally, was submitted on Monday.

“I write to officially tell you about my resignation from all the progressive congress (APC),” Lawal said.

“This resignation applies immediately.”

While he did not reveal the next political steps, Lawal hinted at a sustainable political involvement, saying he would announce his new affiliation in time.

“I plan to join his compatriot to make Nigeria a better place to live for all citizens,” he added.

The former SGF also expressed his warm greetings to APC members in their environment and prayed for them well.

Lawal, a major political figure in the state of Adamawa and National, has been a vocal commentator about national issues since leaving the federal cabinet.
