The Nigerian Police (NPF) has begun a disciplinary process against 151 high rank officers accused of committing various acts of violations and violations of professional standards.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by an army public relations official, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the officers – starting from the Assistant of the Police Supervisory (ASP) to a higher ranking – currently appeared before the Disciplinary Committee forces (FDC) in Abuja.
The audience, which began on Monday, July 14, will last until Friday, July 25, 2025, at the IGP Smart Conference Hall, the Headquarters of Force, as part of an internal initiative to strengthen accountability and ensure discipline in the ranks.
Adejobi said the trial aimed at maintaining the highest level of professionalism in the troops, noting that the affected officers were taken from various orders and formations throughout the country.

“The troop discipline committee is an important internal structure that is responsible for reviewing and adjudicating cases of alleged violations of professional behavior, violations, and violations of ethics,” the statement said.
He added that the review process was being carried out transparently and full of internal regulations for the Nigerian police.
After the audience, Adejobi confirmed that the results would be forwarded to the Police Service Commission (PSC) for the final decision on appropriate sanctions or liberations, in accordance with legal and legal processes.
Repeating administrative attitudes about discipline, police inspector General, Egbetokun Kayode, emphasizing zero tolerance for all forms of indiscipline or unprofessional behavior, regardless of the rank or position of officers.
He stated, “Nigerian police remain firm in its commitment to promote integrity, professionalism, and public trust. The disciplinary process reflects the sharpness of the troops to maintain the institution that is responsible and driven by the service, where the standards are upheld and the rule of law is respected from within.”
