Benue’s famous archaeologist, prof. Zacharys Gundu, rejected the requests for retraction and apologies made by the governor Abdullahi on the state of Nassarawa for his comments (of Gundu) according to which the state of Nassarawa was hosting those who killed Benue’s citizens.

Hon wrote: “We have our client’s instructions to reject the requests made in your letter of 22 July 2025. Our customer cannot, in any way, satisfy these requests. We hope that you will advise your client accordingly.”

In the letter of response to Dr. Raji (San), Prof. Hon (San) on behalf of Prof. Gundu, said that, the volume of evidence available to Prof Gundu to establish beyond any shadows of doubt that the murder Fulani Herdsmen who attacks the Benue government, the state of governor.

However, he said he will release all those evidence when they meet in court.
