2027: ATAOJA swears huge votes for Tinubu, requires the release of LG funds

The Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimh Olanipekun, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release the assignments of the local government seized to the government of the state of Osun.

He promised to deliver enormous votes for the president’s re -election in 2027 in return.

The monarch, who spoke to the Groove Osun during the Osun Osogbo Festival of 2025 on Friday, took the traditional Council to convene a meeting to discuss the issues of the local government.

He gave the certainty that the president would have swept the votes in Osun for his re -election if he had intervened in the question of the local government and guaranteed the release of allocations.

He said: “Some traditional sovereigns approached me what to do on the retained LG Fund. I don’t want to be too far because I expected that our leader, the traditional advice, to evoke a meeting that would be attended by us.

“I will not jump the gun because I am very worried. I am the father of the ASG, the governor and some traditional sovereigns are the fathers of the deputy governor and head of the staff. They should call us, the traditional sovereigns; we are the fathers of the government, and our leader should eliminate us all to go to Abuja. If we arrive there, we know what to say because it is not possible to say to Osun.

“During the Lantedned 16 -eyed event, I said that the goddess of Osun adopted Tinubu and I will deliver the state of Osun in 2027; there is no need to be afraid.

“Those of you close to the president and the advice should tell him to prevail over those who hold assignments of Osun LG to release it for the state and when it is the moment of the elections, call me and I will deliver you.”
