The Chairperson of the Senate Committee for the Navy, Senator Gbenga Daniel (APC, Ogun East), has fired the media claiming that the President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio was treated at a hospital in London.
Daniel said he met Akpabio during the stopover in London to personally notify him who was planned to return to Nigeria for the August 16 Election to fill the Federal Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North North Constituent Chair, following the death of the former Deputy Representative of the People’s Representative Council, Hon. Adewumi Onanuga.
“I am here to officially tell you, the president of the senate, that I will return to Nigeria to participate in the August 16 selection into the Federal Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo constituency, the advantage of you here.
According to Akpabio’s special assistant in the media, Jackson Udom, the President of the Senate thanked Daniel for the visit and expressed the belief that the ruling party would win the election.

“Let me congratulate beforehand, because you have everything that is needed to maintain a federal constituent chair for our big party. You come from there and interesting, the governor also from there, so I have no fear,” he added.
React to poor health rumors, Akpabio said, “If you listen to social media, you will fight.”
