The Cross River State Council Council on Wednesday passed the 2025 additional budget of N642.1 billion.
Parliament, on December 24 last year, ratified the 2025 APROPRITICATION Bill of more than N538 billion.
An additional budget shows a variant of around N142 billion or an increase of 26 percent from the initial budget.
Chairperson of the DPR’s Finance and Aproprification Committee, Mr. Okon Owuna, who presented the Committee’s report on additional budgets during the plenary at UYO, said the addition was to accommodate some critical expenses that were not captured in the original 2025 budget.
Owuna said that the development had provided fiscal space to introduce additional expenses in all critical sectors.
