Entrepreneur and wife isolated from Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, May Edochie, has launched twin legal battles, demanding a large compensation for alleged defamation and violation of trust.
In one setting, May is looking for ₦ 500 million in damage from the Social Media Commissionator Yinka Theisen, accusing him of issuing false and evil statements intended to tarnish his reputation.
On August 19, 2025, it was able to send a ceasefire and termination letter through his lawyer, Mitra Graylaw, accused Yinka of evil fake, cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and defamation.
Yinka allegedly posted a false and destructive statement about Mei on social media, which was characterized as “silly behavior, unreasonable and dangerous, and evil threats,” according to the letter.
The notification called on public apologies on all Yinka platforms, the quick revocation of all publications slandered, and payment ₦ 500 million in damage.

May Edochie has also filed a 1 billion lawsuit against his former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, accused him of committing violations and violating professional duties.
May said in a ceasefire and stopping letter from his lawyer, Graylaw Partners, that Ugwuonye had made a story about him on social media, established a site to damage his reputation, and even reveal his personal information in return for cash.
He further emphasized that, although he did not have the right legal position on the field, Emeka Ugwuonye had misinterpreted himself as a lawyer.
“By doing that, you with a trick of exploiting the unconsciousness of our clients, holding out yourself in a cheating way, and now generate an illegal profit from the special information besides publication of slandering you,” the letter reads.
May said that the position of Ugwuonye had incited others to spread fake accusations, further damaged his reputation. He called for the removal of all such content at once, public apology and revocation in all channels, and ₦ 1 billion in damage.
