2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: four African giants ready to join Morocco as Day 8 develops

The road from Africa to the FIFA 2026 World Cup has reached a dramatic Crescendo, and the center of attention now changes to the first day 8 of the CAF qualifiers.

Morocco, just out of his ruthless 5–0 victory over Niger in Rabat, has already hit his ticket to the global stage.

The Atlas Lions become the first African nation to officially ensure a place in the expanded tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

As the Atlas Lions celebrate their third consecutive qualification, four most African heavyweights Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and South Africa are on the threshold of joining them.
