Foxconn, a Taiwanese multinational conglomerate and a giant of global technology, expressed interest in creating its production system in the state of Ogun.
AVP, office of the president of the company BD, Mr. Vincent Lee revealed it on the weekend when he led a delegation to meet the Governor of the State, Prince Dapo Inhabitun, at the exchange of Gateway City Gate, on the Abeokuta-Sagamu highway.
He said the delegation was in the state to explore commercial opportunities in order to establish their operations.
According to Mr. Lee, its organization is the largest contractor of contract electronics in the world, with an annual revenue base of over $ 200 billion, which uses thousands in its various production plants.
Foxconn, Lee has observed, is involved in intelligent production, technological infrastructures and industrial development.
He said: “We are here in the state of Ogun today to meet the Governor Mr. to discuss investment opportunities that will lead to establish our business here in the state of Ogun”.
Speaking previously, Governor inhabitu has observed that the state is gradually emerging as an electricity plant of investment and communication technology (Tic) of Africa due to the various reforms and the favorable corporate environment implemented by its administration.

He said that the state’s success story is his unparalleled ability to generate sustainable revenues and attract private capital without relying exclusively on federal allocations.
This tax creativity, underlined the governor, positioned the state as an economic model for Nigeria, with the tics acting as a central pilot, from the automation of the revenue processes to the expansion of its digital economy.
While ensuring that the state would be consistent in the unlocking of opportunities that authorizes citizens and strengthen the trust of investors, the governor inhabitants has reiterated the commitment of his administration to continue showing the state as a hub for technological progress, with deliberate policies that promote the tics as a qualifying of governance and a magnet for global investors.
“By presenting the state technological hubs, supporting digital entrepreneurs and encouraging partnerships with international companies, Ogun has aligned himself to global trends in competitiveness and digital innovation,” he said.
Governor inhabitun, who describes himself as the “Chief Marketing Officer” of the State of Ogun, said that actively involving investors and highlighting the unique advantages of Ogun, who include his strategic position, the industrial base, the qualified workforce and the political support environment – demonstrates a commitment committed to showing the state’s investment opportunities to the global community.
He said that the introduction of advanced geo-spite systems led to transparency, efficiency and responsibility in the allocation of the soil, which, in addition to preventing multiple allocations and the closure of escapade, also builds the trust of investors by providing clear, reliable and accessible land data and strengthens the state’s revenues.
