Nigeria’s international midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has been degraded to the U21 team of the English League One Barnsley after his failed attempt to send it to the summer transfer window, reports Owngoalnigeria.com.
Nwakali, who made 26 appearances for the English team of the third division, including 15 openings in all competitions, fell out of favor in the club, after returning late for training prior to the season.
Corrino for Nigeria at all levels from U-17 to the senior team, coach Conorihane told the 27-year-old in clear terms that he is in his plans for the season.
“I think all parties know that hopefully that will be the result on Monday, which progresses,” said the coach in the last week of the transfer window.
After they told him that he has no future in the club, therefore, he should leave the club in the summer transfer window, he stayed in the club due to the lack of interest in his services.
The club has no choice but to send it to the U21, where it now moves away from the first team of the club that was joined after the spells with Huesca, Ad Alcorcon, Ponferradina and Chaves. He spent three years in Arsenal’s books, but left without a single appearance in the first team in his name.
