Ondo Sanctions of the Principal Government for Illegal Retribution Collection

The Government of Ondo State has sanctioned two high school principals to collect illegal accusations and goods from students in schools in states.

Commissioner of State for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, revealed this to journalists on Tuesday at Akure.

Ajibefun, who refused to mention names and schools and schools from affected school principals, said they felt in the alleged collection of illegal costs.

He explained that some parents reported to the ministry that several school principals collect on agreed levies and also collect goods that are not approved by their students.

The commissioners regretted that some school principals and principals had a habit of collecting levies that were not approved by the government of students.

He said: “We have approved two principals in the last few days.

“The two school principals collected illegal money from students. Even before the start of new terms, they had begun to collect money from students.

“We called them to the ministry and they confessed because we had received credible information from parents, and when we were dealing with the accusation, they could not deny.

“They have been asked and the punishment will follow.

“This is to tell them that we are serious about what we say, and tell them that this era is different,” Ajibefun said.
